About the session
Global health knowledge sharing is rapidly evolving. Advances in social technologies, increased data availability, stronger community engagement, and the rise of voices beyond traditional institutions are making information more accessible, collaborative, and data-driven across diverse contexts.
However, these shifts are not benefiting everyone equally. Rural and remote populations remain disadvantaged by the digital divide, limiting their access to vital information. At the same time, the democratization of knowledge has created new challenges, with misinformation spreading quickly in the absence of trusted gatekeepers.
This session will explore what kinds of global health knowledge can—and should—be shared, and how to do so in ways that are equitable and impactful. We will examine innovative approaches to bridge gaps, from fostering cross-sector collaboration to leveraging emerging tools like artificial intelligence to enhance access, credibility, and trust.
Through interactive discussion and real-world examples, participants will gain insights into building a more inclusive global health knowledge ecosystem—one that ensures communities everywhere can benefit from credible information, contribute their perspectives, and take informed action.
Join us to help shape a future where knowledge flows freely, equitably, and with integrity.
