About the session
Cancer is one of the greatest Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) challenges facing the world today. Due to the growth and aging of the population, as well as increased exposure to risk factors, over 35 million new cases of cancer are expected globally by 2050. Tackling cancer requires collaboration across a range of stakeholders and an innovative ecosystem guided by National Cancer Control Plans (NCCPs) to strengthen outcomes for patients and health systems. Although NCCPs are widely adopted by over 80% of countries worldwide, only 10% include specific details on costing or budgeting.
This panel discussion will explore the state of cancer globally, the role of NCCPs, resources needed and best practices to ensure successful implementation, and how stakeholders can collaborate to better address disparities in care, advance a sustainable ecosystem for innovation, and scalable solutions.
