About the session
Every year, thousands of women and children in Sub-Saharan Africa lose their lives to causes that are both preventable and predictable. While Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed sectors like finance and logistics, public health still lags behind. Proven AI tools—from predictive analytics to drone delivery—are already saving lives, yet most remain confined to pilots. The question is no longer whether AI can help, but how to make it work responsibly and at scale, with women and children at the center.
This session will explore what it takes to move from potential to real impact. Panelists will unpack the systemic barriers—weak infrastructure, fragmented data, limited capacity, and short-term financing—that keep innovation from reaching those who need it most. They will also discuss what enables scale: political will, sustainable financing, cross-sector partnerships, and strong governance.
Grounded in lived experience and leadership insights from across Africa and Asia, this inspiring panel brings together bold, visionary leaders who are reimagining what’s possible when we stop managing around adversity—and start building through it.
