About Anja Thronicke

Dr. Anja Thronicke, PhD (Dr. rer. nat.), is a data scientist and research strategist at the Havelhöhe Research Institute, part of the Gemeinschaftskrankenhaus Havelhöhe in Berlin. Prior to this, she spent 14 years at the Charité, and has also worked at the German Cancer Center and the Max-Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics. Her scientific work focuses on integrative oncology, with a particular emphasis on patient-reported outcomes, quality of life, and the psychosocial burden of cancer patients. She is involved in several ongoing research projects, including a registry study at the Havelhöhe Lung Cancer Center investigating the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the stage at diagnosis of non-small cell lung cancer. Dr. Thronicke is an active member of several professional societies and is dedicated to translating scientific insights into practical improvements in cancer care and patient support.
