About the session
Scaling a sustainable and effective response to malnutrition relies upon access to a skilled and resourced primary healthcare delivery system. Appropriately integrating nutrition services into primary healthcare systems is key to systematically advancing prevention, identification and treatment of malnutrition. Primary healthcare clinics can serve as points of coordination and training for essential Community Health Workers (CHW) as they address malnutrition within communities and households. This session will focus on evidenced-based strategies to strengthen the integration of nutrition services within primary care, advance use of innovative tools to identify and track malnutrition, and capture of real-world data to inform implementation guidance and policy development.
